The Buccaneers treated their rabid fans to a real nail-biter under new guru Jon Gruden. Earlier the Indianapolis Colts on the road also had a close game with an impassive Tony Dungy looking on. The difference? Tony's Colts held off a furious Jaguars attempt to come from behind while the Bucs had not one, but two good chances snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, and blew them both.

If this is what the Glazers wanted to bring to Tampa Bay then perhaps it was worth it to give up all they did by dumping Dungy and luring Gruden. It is a long season and it still may prove to be a smart move ...

Somebody please tell Gruden nail-biters are not what he was hired to produce, particularly when they leave a bitter taste of defeat in the mouths of the voracious fans.
