Feedback: Johnson worthy of the praise
© St. Petersburg Times published September 16, 2002
How could any Bucs fan that knows about football feel that Brad Johnson is not an NFL quarterback?
He has been praised for his efforts by other teams and by the media (basically those that know football).
We are only two games into the season, and how Brad has moved this offense on his back, I must add, is just promising.
I'm mystified by what some of these fans are thinking. They just better hope that Brad makes it through the season without injury or it will be a long season.

I've been a dedicated and patient Bucs fan since 1985.
Coaches (like Ray Perkins) have come and gone.
Hugh Culverhouse (as owner) wouldn't spend any money to improve the team.
Glazers (as owners) have spent money to improve the team.
Tony Dungy put a defense on the field.
And offense has always been lacking.
For the past several years, we have all been in agreement that if the Bucs could just put points on the board, we couldn't be beat. We have had many (too many) games without even a touchdown!
Now (with new coaching, new owners, and new talent) we are putting enough points on the scoreboard to win, even with a pitiful offensive line.
