STILLWATER, Okla. - JamesOn Curry scored 22 to lead Oklahoma State past No.6 Texas 81-60 on Sunday.
The Cowboys (14-12, 4-8 Big 12) had lost seven of eight but gave coach Eddie Sutton his 795th win by dominating a team eying a No.1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
As the clock wound down, Oklahoma State interim coach Sean Sutton, Eddie's son, worked his way down the bench, hugging his players. Oklahoma State officials have said that even though Eddie Sutton is on a medical leave of absence, any Cowboys wins will go on his record.
Eddie Sutton was injured in an accident Feb.10 and subsequently charged with drunk driving. Wednesday, he admitted to an alcohol problem.
There were many signs of support for Sutton. One prominent banner read, "Eddie, we love you ... We're behind you All The Way Coach!!!" Numerous fans wore orange shirts with Sutton's face on them.
After the game, Eddie Sutton called the locker room.
"He said that looks like an Oklahoma State basketball team," Sean Sutton said. "That was probably the best compliment he could have given me.
"We needed that. Oklahoma State needed that."
The closest Texas (22-4, 10-2) came in the second half was at 40-33 with 12:53 left. But David Monds scored seven and Curry made two 3-pointers during a subsequent 15-4 run that ended with Oklahoma State up 57-39 with 7:19 left.

USC 71, NO. 15 UCLA 68: Reserve Dwayne Shackleford scored all 12 of his points in the second half for the host Trojans. A 13-0 run gave the Bruins (20-6, 10-4 Pac-10) a 38-32 lead 5:20 into the second half. But USC (16-9, 7-7) scored the next 13, four by Shackleford, and led from there.

Duke (25-1, 13-0), which clinched the top seed in the conference tournament, led 40-36 before a 19-4 run. Freshman Josh McRoberts scored eight, six on free throws, during the run. Miami coach Frank Haith became so frustrated with the officiating - "We can't touch them!" he yelled at one point - he was called for a technical.
